Q: How do I know what level I'm qualified for?
A:
To find out what level you are qualified for, simply fill out the form. You will receive a response telling you whether you are qualified to administer A-, B-, or C-level assessments.
Q: Does becoming qualified mean taking a workshop, or do I have to also
pass the qualification exam?
A:
Becoming qualified requires completing a workshop from an organization accredited by CPP and passing all the required exams pertaining to a specific instrument. For example, for MBTI qualification, you must complete a workshop training AND score 80% or higher on the qualification exam. Note that you must have a 4-year degree as a prerequisite.

Q: What is the difference between MBTI® qualification and certification?
A:
The difference between qualification and certification is that certified practitioners are held to a higher standard and must meet additional requirements. Certification is granted for a period of 3 years. It denotes the highest level of excellence in knowledge, competence, and skill in the interpretation of the MBTI
® instrument. Contact a local Certification Education provider for more information or visit www.mbticertification.org.
Q: Do I need to take a qualifying training prior to taking Step II?
A:
No, training is not required to take Step II, but it is recommended as a prerequisite.
Q: Is Step II training required to purchase Form Q?
A:
No, Step II training is not required to purchase Form Q, but it is recommended. B-level qualification is required.
Q: What kind of exam is required in order become qualified?
A:
The qualification exam comprises 100 multiple-choice questions.
Q: Is anyone exempt from taking the exam?
A:
If you meet the educational requirements of qualification, then you do not have to take the exam.
Q: What are the educational requirements that exempt me from taking the exam?
A:
You do not have to take the exam if you have a degree from an accredited 4-year college or university and have satisfactorily completed a course in test interpretation and/or psychometrics and measurement theory from an accredited 4-year college or university.
Q: Can I take a qualifying course and then purchase the MBTI assessment if
I do not have a 4-year degree?
A:
In order to purchase the MBTI instrument, you must have a 4-year degree from an accredited university and complete a course in Test Interpretation or Psychometrics and Measurement Theory or you must have a 4-year degree from an accredited university and have successfully passed a qualifying exam from an approved Qualifications Provider. You can attend a qualifying course without having a 4-year degree, but you cannot purchase the product.
Q: Why do statistics play such an important role in the qualification
process when trainers and consultants don't use this information?
A:
It is important to be able to understand the statistical implications of the assessment one is using. There will be occasions when a qualified person is asked to discuss the reliability and validity of the assessment he or she uses.
Q: Do I have to be B- or C-level qualified to purchase support materials such as books, binders, etc.?
A:
No, you do not have to be qualified to purchase support materials.

A:
